ABOUT DYLAN
Therapy should give you room to be more fully yourself.
I offer thoughtful, relational therapy for people who want to understand themselves more deeply - not simply become better at pushing through.

WHY THIS WORK
I understand what it means to build a life around competence.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent approximately fifteen years working in operations and technology in Austin. I understand environments where intelligence, productivity, and adaptability are highly valued - and how easily success can become disconnected from a deeper sense of meaning.
My transition into therapy grew from a desire to work closer to the questions beneath performance: Who are you when you are not solving the next problem? What do you want when you are no longer organizing your life around other people’s expectations?
Those questions continue to shape the way I sit with clients today.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
A relationship where you don’t have to perform.
Curiosity without judgment
We will make room for conflicting feelings, uncertainty, and the parts of yourself that may be difficult to explain
Honest engagement
I will listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and offer observations that help us see familiar patterns differently.
Collaborative depth
Therapy is something we do together - not advice handed down from one person to another
HOW I WORK

Present difficulties have histories.
My work with individuals is relational, psychodynamic, and insight-oriented. We pay attention to what is happening now while exploring how earlier relationships and experiences continue to shape your inner life.
With couples, I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy to help partners understand the attachment needs and protective strategies beneath conflict, distance, and disconnection.
Across all of my work, I remain attentive to culture, identity, family, power, and the wider world in which your life is unfolding.
